Logical Medical Systems Privacy Statement

Patient data are not held by Logical Medical Systems (LMS).  Patient data are held by licensees of the Alpha software.  In so far as LMS holds personal data this is required in order to conduct our business.  The personal data held includes identification of Alpha software licensees and suppliers to LMS.  LMS only collects basic personal data (name, address, email and phone number).

Why we need to store personal data and what we do with the data

We need to collect personal data in order to conduct business with current and prospective Alpha software licensees and business suppliers to LMS.The personal data we process is processed by LMS staff in the United Kingdom and for the purposes of information technology hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers within the United Kingdom. No third parties have access to personal data unless the law allows them to do so.

We may use personal data to provide information about future enhancements to the Alpha software. On request this information will no longer be supplied to past Alpha licensees. The personal data is not shared with third parties.  We have a data protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of personal data.  We are required to keep personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years.

If the information we process is thought to be incorrect the information can be seen by the relevant person and, if incorrect, can have it corrected or, have it deleted in respect of past Alpha licensees. Complaints on how we have handled a person’s personal data can be directed to alpha@lmsalpha.co.uk.  People have a right to access information we hold on them. Any access request will be subject to a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing the information.  If a person is not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing their personal data in a way that is not in accordance with the law they can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office https://ico.org.uk/

lmsalpha.co.uk uses Google Analytics to analyse the use of this website.  Google Analytics generates statistical and other information about website use by means of cookies, which are stored on users' computers.  The information generated relating to our website is used to create reports about the use of the website.
